7NEWS launches 7NEWS Your Call competition for young aspiring commentators
7NEWS has announced a new competition set to ignite the passion of young AFL fans in Perth. Kicking off tonight, Monday, 8 April, the 7NEWS Your Call competition promises a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the lucky winner.
Aspiring young commentators aged between 8 and 16 are encouraged to showcase their best footy calling skills by submitting a video to 7NEWS. Whether it’s a play-by-play analysis or insightful observations, budding commentators are invited to demonstrate their passion for the game.
7NEWS will be featuring entries throughout the competition, with the winner receiving a money can’t buy experience, including:
• Two tickets to the Round 7 Fremantle Dockers v Western Bulldogs clash on Saturday April 27
• A signed Fremantle Dockers guernsey
• An exclusive meet and greet with Ryan Daniels, Luke Darcy, Shaun Burgoyne and Jason Bennett in the Channel 7 Commentary Box within the Dennis Cometti Media Centre pre-game
• Meet and greet with two Fremantle Dockers non-playing players at half-time
• The winner and parent/guardian to visit the Fremantle Dockers changeroom post-match (if Fremantle Dockers win)
The judging panel will consist of the 7NEWS Perth Sports Team Ryan Daniels, Adrian Barich, Anna Hay and Ben Cousins as well as Fremantle Dockers fan favourites Nat Fyfe and Caleb Serong.
Entries are open until midnight Sunday, 21 April, with the winner being announced during 7NEWS at 6.00pm on Monday, 22 April.
