6PR introduces 2023 AFL Commentary team

Having secured radio, streaming and digital rights to the AFL until 2024, 6PR has assembled the biggest and best names in football broadcasting to spearhead its unrivalled commentary and coverage this season.

 

Among the all-star lineup is former West Coast Eagles premiership player and Breakfast announcer Karl Langdon, AFL hall-of-famer Glen Jakovich, Brownlow medallist Brad Hardie, former Fremantle Dockers players Lee Spurr and Luke McPharlin, and AFLW Fremantle Captain, 2022 Fairest and Best and All-Australian Hayley Miller.

Seasoned play-by-play callers return to the fold including Adam Papalia, Mark Readings and Mitch Turner with expert comments from Fremantle Dockers games record holder David Mundy and former West Coast Eagles premiership player Will Schofield.

Meanwhile the station’s popular Wide World of Sports program hosted by Papalia will chat to West Coast Captain Luke Shuey and Fremantle Defender Luke Ryan every Wednesday. Eagles Coach Adam Simpson will also join the show on Thursdays with the latest team news heading into the round.

A new show will feature on Friday nights covering sports news from across the globe, live matches, and plenty of fun, setting up the weekend for every sports lover. Friday Night Lights with Will Schofield and David Mundy, Fridays 6-8pm.

Perth’s No.1 talk station will have live coverage of the Dockers and Eagles games each week, along with a number of marquee matches each round. Every call is available to listeners on 882am, 6PR DAB+ and for the first time through the 6PR app and website.
