Western Australian Marketing Association (WAMA) resets committee to ready for year ahead

The Western Australian Marketing Association (WAMA) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) last night at Bonfire HQ, marking the beginning of an exciting new year for the association. The event saw the election of WAMA’s committee for the upcoming year, with Rene LeMerle re-elected as Chairperson.

 

LeMerle (pictured bottom middle) expressed his enthusiasm about the new team, saying: “We have some lofty plans for WAMA and the WA marketing community, and it’s great to have the new committee ready to drive that vision.

“Some new appointments and restructuring will position us well with the resourcing and capability to deliver on the association’s strategic goals in FY25. Exciting things are brewing, so watch this space.”

The newly elected committee members include Emma Ridley (pictured below left) as Vice Chair, Ashley Broadway (pictured below middle) as Secretary, and Menuccia Tassone (pictured below right) as Treasurer.

In addition, key leads for WAMA have been announced: Des McNamara (pictured top left) will serve as Sponsorship Lead, Tess Palmyre (pictured top right) as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Lead, Andrea Candy (pictured middle left) as Events Lead, and Eloise Pitt (pictured middle right) as Marketing Lead. The committee will also be supported by team members Bronte Davy (pictured bottom right) and Emma Hewett (pictured bottom left).

WAMA reaffirmed its commitment to unifying the marketing industry in Western Australia, championing better DEI practices, and inspiring and showcasing WA marketing excellence. With this new team in place, the association is well-positioned to help encourage brave and effective marketing across the industry in the coming year.
