Rare – Art Director
About the job
We are currently seeking an experienced Art Director to join Perth’s award winning and largest independent full-service creative advertising agency. Our independence sets us apart at Rare and allows us to put people at the heart of everything we do.
As the Art Director, you will work directly with our Creative Director to take work from brief to finished production. Working across platforms such as Adobe Suite, and Figma.
Your Responsibilities can include:
• Collaborating with clients to review and refine project briefs, ensuring alignment with creative goals.
• Developing and delivering compelling presentations to clients, showcasing conceptual ideas and design strategies.
• Conceptualizing and storyboarding creative directions to visually communicate key ideas and project vision.
• Overseeing the creation and execution of high-quality artwork, ensuring adherence to brand standards and project objectives.
• Supervising and coordinating photo shoots and post-production processes, ensuring the final deliverables meet creative and technical standards.
About YOU
We’re looking for someone who is creatively driven and keen to partner with a like-minded writer to produce top tier conceptual work. Cross-discipline skills and experience are an advantage – eg. animation, graphic design, social content production, or similar. You are an efficient executor with strong capabilities in the Adobe suite and Figma – prepared to get hands-on with the execution of concepts, and have a desire to be part of a creative department working in-person in Perth, collaborating internally and with external partners.
Skills & Experience
• We request that you have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
• Ideally, an AWARD School graduate with a relevant tertiary qualification .

Workhouse – Full Stack Developer
Workhouse is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer who can bring their expertise to our national and international clients.
Joining one of the agency’s fastest-growing and largest departments, you will work with the latest tools and technologies. Together, we develop high-calibre, bespoke solutions to propel our client’s success and how they drive their business. This includes sophisticated in-house projects like the development of our custom eComm platform built on Laravel. On any given day, you’ll work directly alongside a team of 6 developers and front-end designers.
General responsibilities will consist of:
• Working with Laravel, TailwindCSS and Vue.js to build and extend our existing and future products and applications
• Working with Statamic to implement designs, extend functionality, perform upgrades & maintenance, testing, etc.
• Working with HTML, CSS, PHP and Javascript to develop supporting services for client websites
• Supporting the team by participating in code reviews, general troubleshooting and solution architecture
Advantageous skills/knowledge includes:
• Passion for development and building new things
• 5+ years experience in the commercial use of PHP, Javascript, jQuery, HTML, CSS
(Tailwind), Vue.js
• Experience with Laravel or similar PHP frameworks
• eCommerce experience
• Good knowledge of SQL-based databases
• Experience with technical documentation and specifications
• Experience with agile frameworks and methodologies (Scrum)
• Good knowledge of HTML5 and CSS
• Good Linux/command line experience
• Experience with REST APIs
• Experience with payment systems (e.g. PayPal, AfterPay, Adyen, eWAY, Stripe,
Braintree, ZipPay, ZipMoney, etc.)
• Good working knowledge of Git
• High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, bug-free applications
