We are currently seeking an experienced Studio Designer to join Perth’s award winning and largest independent full-service creative advertising agency. Our independence sets us apart at Rare and allows us to put people at the heart of everything we do.
Are you the magical hybrid of meticulous maker and creative collaborator? Do you get a kick out of turning big ideas into pixel-perfect realities?
Then we want to talk.
You’re not just a “roll-it-out” kind of operator. You think before you click. You spot problems before they even peek over the horizon. You’re curious, forward-thinking, and not afraid to explore the bleeding edge of design and production—including dabbling with AI tools and smarter, faster ways of working.

What you’ll do:
• Bring campaign concepts to life across traditional, social, and digital media
• Roll out visuals across multiple mediums
• Prepare final artwork, liaise with publishers & printers, and ensure everything runs like clockwork.
• Collaborate with creative and account teams to keep timelines tight and work on point
• Keep your files cleaner than Marie Kondo’s walk in wardrobe
• Constantly evolve by testing new tools and refining processes
Skills & Superpowers:
• Adobe Creative Suite whiz (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) + Figma fluent
• Not essential, but we’d love you to have experience in After Effects or other editing tools.
• Sharp understanding of production processes (print & digital)
• Detail-obsessed, organised, and calm under pressure
• Experience working with external vendors and managing final delivery
• Keen interest in AI tools and efficient asset management
• A proactive mindset—ready to jump in early, contribute creatively, and think laterally
Bonus Perks (a.k.a. Why you’ll love it here):
• You’ll get to work earlier in the creative process—your voice matters
• You’ll help shape how we work, not just what we make
• A supportive, talented team that believes in making great work and making it great to make
• Room to grow your skills through training, experimentation, and innovation
This role is ready to go — like, now.
It’s a contract position to start, but for the right person, there’s every chance it could become permanent.
