Tim Duggan returns to SOS ’25 with workshop on creative renewal and work-life balance

Acclaimed digital media entrepreneur and author Tim Duggan is set to return to State of Social for its 2025 edition, delivering a hands-on workshop designed to help professionals reset their creative energy and rethink the way they work.
Duggan, best known as the co-founder of Junkee Media and the author of Work Backwards: The Revolutionary Method to Work Smarter and Live Better, will lead an interactive session titled “How to Fix Work: A Workshop to Refresh Your Life/Work Balance” on Day Two of the conference.
“Work isn’t working,” Duggan says. “We’re more connected than ever, yet many of us feel burnt out, disengaged and stuck in outdated routines. This is an opportunity to reset how we think about creativity and balance.”
Drawing on insights from years of research and his own experience as a digital media leader, Duggan’s workshop will equip attendees with practical tools to navigate the evolving world of work. Participants will develop their personal MAP (Meaning, Anchors & Priorities), learn strategies to reinvigorate creative thinking, and explore ways to optimise remote, flexible and hybrid work.
In addition to his entrepreneurial achievements, Duggan is a regular columnist for the Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, WA Today, and Brisbane Times. His previous keynote at State of Social 2022 was widely praised for its energy and insight, earning him a place among the event’s most memorable speakers.
Tim Duggan joins a high-profile lineup of strategists, creators and technologists as part of State of Social ’25: Refresh, with Day Two dedicated to in-depth educational sessions across the digital marketing, social media and creative industries.
