The West Australian’s digital brand group in top 10 national publishers & number 1 in WA in the latest Ipsos iris digital data release

The latest Ipsos iris digital data release reveals a total of 4.4 million people read The West Australian’s digital news brands in March, an impressive increase of 16.4 per cent month on month and moving The West up two places into the national top 10 for news brands.

The West Australian has claimed the #1 spot among digital news brands in WA, thanks to a significant 16.1 per cent increase in its audience, making it the most-read digital news source in the state. With a total WA audience of 1.2 million, more West Aussies are turning to The West Australian than any other digital news brand.

The data showed 15 per cent of people who read thewest.com.au are now aged 14-24. There is also an equal split between male and female readers.

Seven West Media’s Chief Sales Officer, Brent Stewart said “March has seen the full suite of AFL and WAFL content go live, including our top performing tipping platform The Game.”

“The breadth of The West’s regional news sites and brand was also a big contributor to its overall audience and reach.”
