The Seven Network and SCA partner to support the launch of Australian Idol 2025
Australian Idol will return to Seven and 7plus for a third big season on Sunday, 2 February 2025.
The Idol franchise has launched the careers of many multi-award-winning artists, including Aussies Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy, Matt Corby, Ricki-Lee, Anthony Callea, Stan Walker, Casey Donovan and Courtney Act.
Australian Idol and pop legend Marcia Hines, TV WEEK Logie Awards winner and acclaimed recording and touring artist Amy Shark, and radio king Kyle Sandilands return to the Idol judging desk to unearth Australia’s next Idol.
The Seven Network WA has partnered with SCA’s The Pete and Kymba Show to launch an exciting watch-and-win competition, giving viewers the ultimate chance to showcase their singing talent and win big. Each night during Australian Idol, Pete and Kymba will announce the daily song that viewers need to sing live on breakfast radio the following morning. Aspiring vocalists will have the chance to win a share in $10,000 cash each day and go into the draw to attend the Australian Idol Grand Finale live in Sydney.
The competition runs from February 2 to February 27, airing statewide on Mix94.5 in Perth and Hit WA throughout regional Western Australia.
Last year’s season of Australian Idol, saw some incredible performances and new faces to follow, but it was Dylan Wright who took out the winning title. On average, 112,000 Western Australians tuned in per episode, achieving an impressive 27% YOY growth.
Australian Idol is hosted by multi-platinum-selling, ARIA Award-nominated singer-songwriter Ricki-Lee – who was discovered on Australian Idol in 2004 – and internationally renowned entertainment presenter and former E! host Scott Tweedie.
