The Oasis Ball plugs into ‘Electric Dreams’ on Friday 15 May 2026 for a night of neon

The Oasis Committee has announced the theme for the 2026 Oasis Ball: Electric Dreams. Get set for an electrifying night of ’80s decadence, high-energy entertainment, and vital fundraising for The Oasis Project.

As high-voltage meets high-glam (and even higher shoulder pads), we’re celebrating WA’s advertising, media, and communications powerhouses, while raising funds for The Oasis Project – an initiative by The Salvation Army helping to provide safe and sustainable accommodation for young people as they transition to independent living.

In 2025 the industry came together and raised an inspiring $170,302 showcasing our powerful capacity to create meaningful change, and The Oasis Committee can’t wait to top this effort in 2026.

Some of you will remember the 80’s vibrant glow (like a lava lamp), some of you will remember the decadence of AdLand at that time – and some of you have some homework to do – namely listening to this committee curated 1980’s playlist. Yes, they made you a mix tape!

Take those VHS tapes of Xanadu and Cocktail back to Blockbuster, skip the weekly instalment of Miami Vice, and put down your Atari because if you miss it you’re not going to be able to hit rewind.

So plug in the old crimpers, crank up the boom-box, and pop open those West Coast Coolers for a night where Electric Dreams become a vibrant reality.

Who: Media, advertising and communications professionals
Where: Crown Ballroom
When: 15th May, 2026

For sponsorship opportunities, please reach out to Eloise Cribb or Sophie Park.

The Oasis Project supports young people between the ages of 16 and 25 who are marginalised and disadvantaged, many of whom have been sleeping rough, couch surfing, or living in unstable and unsafe arrangements.

The primary focus of the Oasis Project is Oasis House in Mirrabooka, but funds raised also support a range of initiatives aimed at providing these young people with a safe, supported, and sustainable accommodation option, empowering them during their transition to independent living.
