The Marketer picks up Australian Marketing Institute finalist – Not For Profit Marketing

Carma Levene’s The Marketer has been named a national finalist in the Australian Marketing Institute’s Not-for-Profit category for the 2025 season of Telethon Community Cinemas.
Levene said: “The Community Cinemas are a joy to work with, and we’re currently planning my fourth season with the brand.”
“The results were incredible. The client told me that it was going to be a tough year. Turned out we were 1.7% over last year’s figures – which had been the best season to date.”
This season had been so successful in fact that this isn’t the first accolade for the brand in 2025. Early in the year founder, Ken Gibbons, was awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual conference of Independent Cinemas Australia.
The 2025 season saw record attendance, 77, 281 attendees across the four locations, despite weather interruptions and economic pressure.
“It’ll be tough for us to win, there’s so much great work being celebrated in the category – but it’s a real honour to be in the mix,” she added.
The award winners will be announced at an event in Sydney on the 15th of August at The Ivy.
Other Western Australian companies to make the finalists list include The Perth Mint, Tourism WA, City of Subiaco, Word of Mouth Agency, Bonfire and Bloom Digital.
