The Imposterous: Merlee Jayme breaks her silence. Ok that happened a while ago, but still…

This week’s episode features the Imposterous Merlee Jayme the Chief Creative Officer at dentsu international APAC who may have been silent in the distant past but it’s her beliefs and achievements that now demand to be heard.

Merlee calls herself a chairmom, a distinction which speaks volumes. A longtime campaigner for re-balancing the gender disparity that blights the creative industry, Merlee speaks first hand about how she fought for her place and won. But first and foremost, Merlee is the mother of four girls – two of whom she now happily competes against in other ad networks. But before all of that happened, she spent much of her adolescence as a Benedictine nun, learning the qualities of silence before embarking on a very noisy career. Merlee gives some inspirational advice on how to drown out that doubtful inner imposterous voice, as only she knows how.

With a new episode every Monday, The Imposterous is hosted by Michael Knox (ECD, Roller) and Graham Drew (CCO, Grey Malaysia) and as has been created to explore the theory that even the world’s most respected creative professionals suffer pangs of inadequacy that either stifle their potential brilliance or protect them from mediocrity. Tune in to find out how Imposter Syndrome might just be your super power, if you let it.
