The Brand Agency dominates 2019 PADC Skulls with Hungry Puffs leading the way with 3 Golds, 5 Silvers, 2 Bronzes and Best of Show
The Brand Agency has dominated the 2019 Skulls presented by the PADC in Perth on Friday night.
As expected, its result was led by Foodbank WA ‘Hungry Puffs’, which won 3 Gold Skulls, 5 Silvers and 2 Bronzes plus Best of Show. It caps off a hugely successful year in which the campaign has won at just about every major award show in the world.
Overall The Brand picked up 3 Gold, 9 Silvers and 7 Bronzes, along with 6 Finalists. Apart from Hungry Puffs, it won Silvers for Racing & Wagering WA ‘Life’s Better With Horses’ (2), Water Corporation ‘Nature Knows Best’ and Bankwest ‘Bank Less Summer’.
Next best was Block, which enjoyed one of its most successful Skulls winning a Gold for its Writing WA Brand Identity, 4 Silvers and 5 Bronzes.
Rare also enjoyed a good night, with a Gold, 4 Silvers and 4 Bronzes. Its Gold was for Ripple Tea Co brand design, which also won a Silver. The agency’s ‘Depression Looks Different For Everybody’ campaign was also noteworthy, with a Silver and 3 Bronzes.
The sixth Gold of the night was won by &Partners for The Fathering Project.
Gatecrasher picked up 4 Silvers and 2 Bronzes, while Meerkats and 303 MullenLowe each won 2 Silvers and a Bronze.
It was a leaner night for Marketforce, which only picked up 2 awards – a Silver and a Bronze – and Wunderman Thompson with only a single Finalist.
Overall, 72 awards were presented : 6 Gold, 34 Silver, 32 Bronze plus 2 Student Winners.
The night was brilliantly hosted by Claire Hooper, who was flawless in her reading of all the winners and finalists, and even managed to soften the blow in categories where there was “no award given”.

I think Brands entry fees for this campaign would total more than what the client spent on the ads. The only award it hasn’t been entered into was best pie at the Royal Show.
