Significant Other adds partnership director Farah Alias and head of art Neil Martin

Farah Alias has joined Significant Other Creative Agency as Partnerships Director, while Neil Martin has also joined the team in a dual Head of Art role.
Alias (pictured right) brings with her a wealth of senior international experience and knowledge from DDB & BBDO Singapore, Wunderman Thompson, and most recently Rare.
Along the way, she’s partnered with Tourism Australia, Johnson’s Baby, RAC, ECU, Juniper, Celebration Homes, and WA government clients including DFES and Department of Premier and Cabinet.
Alias said: “I’m beyond excited to join the team. I have seen their continued passion for meaningful creative work and building partnerships with clients, suppliers, and talent within the industry since they started. Now, I get to help shape what’s to come.”
Martin (pictured left) is a stalwart of the local industry. A highly experienced Art Director and Illustrator, his great passion is bringing brand stories to life with eye-catching, contemporary visual treatments.
He joins Significant Other in a Head of Art capacity, a title he also holds at Horse and Hound Agency – with the two agencies partnering to welcome him after a 4-year stint at The Brand Agency.
His work has received recognition at major international award shows including D&AD, The One Show, Cannes and AWARD. His clients have included RAC, MSWA, Perth Mint, Kleenheat, Bankwest, Lotterywest, Development WA, Hyundai, Crime Stoppers, Road Safety Commission, Royal Flying Doctor Service, and Cancer Council.
Martin said: “I can’t wait for this next big adventure, and I know this will be a happy, healthy union. We’ve done great work together before for some of WA’s best clients and history has a habit of repeating itself.”

You’ve got yourself two of the best SOCA.
Congratulations Party Marty and Farah.
Woohoo Farah! What a legend x
Great to see two agencies partnering up to share a resource. Innovative thinking. Not sure why more agencies don’t do this as it creates opportunities for them and helps them get top shelf talent they can’t usually afford.
It’s illegal isn’t it?
Congrats Matt and Luke things rolling along.
Woooo Farah!
Yay Farah!
Two of the best! Congrats Farah and Marty.
xx
Big news! Congrats to the two new additions and Matt and Caitlin on building an incredible team.
At last, some creativity to announce the new hires. Can we see more of this please?
Two great people here. But all I hear from SOCA are the new hires. Not the new business wins. What accounts are these guys working on?
How about some of WA’s leading established and emerging brands led by people looking for award winning work, clients who want to be the next Foodbank or Anglicare perhaps?
Nice one, SOCA! Yaaay Farah and Neil!
Congrats Farah! All the best for your new adventure : )
@Bitter? That’s not an answer. Who are these “leading and emerging brands”. We’d love to know. Name names please.
Good to see some saying hello while other agencies are saying goodbye and cutting back on remuneration. It’s the circle of life for sure with the old schoolers contracting and the new players growing.
