Seven West Media launches The Debrief in collaboration with Advertising Council Australia

Seven West Media has partnered with Advertising Council Australia to launch The Debrief, a monthly editorial series, published in The West Australian Business section, on the last Saturday of each month.

At its core, The Debrief is designed to foster meaningful connections, offering insights and perspectives from leaders within the advertising and marketing profession, inspiring innovation and driving the industry forward.

The series is a hub for the latest news, research, case studies, and opinion pieces and a platform to promote ACA’s vision of positioning the advertising industry alongside other respected professions.

Rare Managing Director and WA Chair on the ACA Board, Callum Mackenzie, said: “This collaboration elevates our industry, positioning us as a catalyst for driving business innovation, societal change, and shifting perceptions, especially in areas like DEI, advertising effectiveness and behavioural change.”

Ad Council Australia WA State Manager, Melissa Vella, said: “This local partnership enables us to collaborate with the iconic and respected West Australian…highlighting often unseen business challenges, success stories and more in the form of valuable and interesting content for our industry and other business sectors.”

“Our aim is to showcase the talent, skills and results being delivered by the WA advertising and marketing industry.”

Chief Sales Officer of SWM WA, Brent Stewart, said: “SWM WA is committed to supporting and advocating for our local advertising industry, and the partnership with ACA amplifies that commitment. We are proud to launch the Debrief in The West Australian as a forum to celebrate the local advertising industry, as well as showcasing the brilliant work that comes out of WA.”

The first edition of the Debrief was in the Saturday June 29 edition of The West Australian with the next article published on Saturday July 27.
