Rooftop Movies delivers a blockbuster season and strong community impact

Rooftop Movies’ standout 2024/2025 season has been highlighted in the latest Impact Report from producers ARTRAGE.

With tens of thousands of patrons visiting the iconic rooftop venue in Northbridge, the beloved open-air cinema contributed significantly to the city’s cultural vibrancy and economic activity.

It also played a vital role in ARTRAGE’s mission to deliver accessible, high-quality cultural experiences and welcome a diverse audience through a unique blend of cinema, community, and creativity.

“Rooftop Movies contributed to our year-round programming success, bringing high-quality cinematic and live experiences to the heart of Perth,” said ARTRAGE CEO Jo Thomas.

Season By the Numbers:
• Over 34,000 attendees enjoyed films under the stars for nearly six months, from October 2024 to March 2025.
• There were 50 sold-out sessions, helping to foster community connection and positive shared viewing experiences.
• The return rate was 99%, proving people love their Rooftop Movies experience.
• The engaged online audience includes 48,000+ email subscribers, 20,000+ Instagram followers, 45,000+ Facebook followers, and 1.17 million+ website views.
• The season contributed to ARTRAGE’s overall economic impact of $137 million, helping drive visitation to Northbridge and supporting Perth’s broader nighttime economy.

With strong community support and growing demand, ARTRAGE is already planning for an even more engaging 2025/2026 season.
