Refreshed Oasis Ball Committee announced: Save the date – Friday 15th May, 2026
Following 2025’s show-stopping results, the Oasis Committee is back with fresh faces, new ideas and ready to build on the success for an even more impactful 2026.
Under the leadership of Chairperson Michelle Testa, Client Partner at Carat, the Committee has been hard at work planning not only an incredible Oasis Ball, but a suite of satellite events that aim to raise both awareness and funds for The Salvation Army’s Oasis Project.
Testa said: “We were absolutely thrilled with our outcome in 2025, raising a record-breaking $170,302, and more importantly, refocusing the event around its core purpose.
“Since September, we’ve been reviewing every aspect of the event, identifying key successes, and exploring new opportunities to take our industry’s pinnacle event to the next level.”
A key factor in the Committee’s success has been its “Squad and Sprint” approach. The 16-member team is divided into three specialised squads, each focused on specific areas, led by emerging senior leaders, in Sophie Park, Carma Levene, Alicia Campbell and with Eloise Cribb taking on the newly created role of Secretary.
“The response to join the Committee after the 2025 event was truly overwhelming,” Testa said. “It’s a clear testament to our ability to show that our industry can make a real impact for good, with new members eager to get involved and contribute.”
Guy Rees, State Manager – WA Youth Services, The Salvation Army Australia Territory said: “We continue to be amazed by this Committee – their dedication goes far beyond their professional roles, investing time and energy to bring joy and much-needed financial support to our community.
“I’d also like to acknowledge the remarkable work put in to host the Sleepout. I am sure this left a long term mark on those that participated, but the impact it’s had on the lives of young people across WA, cannot be underestimated. The demand for our services is far greater than ever and without Government funding, we need to start thinking outside the box so that we can pilot initiatives and respond quickly.
“We know that stability is the first step that opens the next door, and as a result of the money raised in 2025, we’ve been able to pilot a number of initiatives that are now being scaled. That is true progress, underwritten by the WA advertising and communications industry!”
“I would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge the valued support and contribution made by the outgoing 2025 Committee – Leilani Vakaahi, Chris Perera, Mitchell Dehnel, Jodie Allen, Caitlin Buck, Jessica Steliou and Tia Sullivan,” added Testa.
The Oasis Committee is excited to once again deliver a powerful industry gala event in 2026, complemented by some exciting initiatives to support their fundraising goals, and allow industry to absorb the meaning behind the money – such as the very popular Oasis Sleepout, and the Oasis House Visit.
Stay tuned for more updates and save the date, Friday 15th May 2026.
