This ad should not have won any award. The ad campaign was supposed to highlight the dangers of being distracted around buses and being in front of a bus but the ad shows someone walking from in front of a bus and the message is to not be distracted. This sends the wrong message as it is never ok to walk in front of a bus. That is a danger in itself. The article on The West explains the dangers of distraction around buses and incidents of people getting in front of buses. So the ad campaign only addresses one factor and does not cover the danger of being in front of a bus. You always cross the road from behind the bus. So the ad campaign is wrong.
