Perth Is OK! celebrates WA photographers with new Yagan Square digital tower exhibition
After surpassing 4 million #perthisok hashtags on Instagram and consistently hitting 1 million visitors/month on their website, WA-based independent media outlet Perth Is OK! is turning their attention towards the community that’s responsible for such a strong 2021.
Working with Yagan Square’s Digital Tower team, Perth Is OK! has created a photography exhibition of epic proportions, showcasing a selection of photos shared via that hashtag, contributed by some of Western Australia’s best photographers.
The Tower gets hundreds of thousands daily views, and provides the perfect setting to exhibit some of the outstanding photographic talent found around Perth and WA.
“Given we’re a community-driven platform that relies on people and photographers submitting photos via the #perthisok hashtag, we wanted to say thank you in some small way to the photographers around WA that manage to capture our unique landscapes so spectacularly,” said Perth Is OK! Co-Director Blake Kelleway.
The images selected offer a stunning snapshot of life around Western Australia, from swimming with whale sharks, gorgeous gorges and epic waterfalls in our northwest, to world-class beaches and pink lakes to the south.
Oh and of course, smiling quokkas!
The photos will be shown on the Yagan Square Digital Tower at random times daily from Friday 10 September until Friday 8 October, and you can check out more work from the featured photographers below:
