Out of Home media revenue up 24% over 2021

The Out of Home (OOH) industry today announced full year net media revenue results including the category breakdowns for 2021.

 

The industry saw a total increase of 24 per cent on net media revenue in 2021.

As previously reported, net media revenue for 2021 increased to $812.7 million, up from $655.2 million* for 2020, across the following categories:

Category figures 2021^^:
· Roadside Billboards (over and under 25 square metres) – $360.4 million
· Roadside Other (street furniture, bus/tram externals, small format) – $190.8 million
· Transport (including airports) – $48 million
· ^Retail, Lifestyle and Other – $213.4 million

Category figures 2020*:
· Roadside Billboards (over and under 25 square metres) – $273.6 million
· Roadside Other (street furniture, bus/tram externals, small format) – $154.2 million
· Transport (including airports) – $62.4 million
· ^Retail, Lifestyle and Other – $165 million

Digital Out of Home (DOOH) revenue accounts for 58.8 per cent of total net media revenue year-to-date, an increase over the recorded 55.2 per cent* for the same period last year.
