Nine’s Scott Cam in Perth to launch The Block’s 21st series at Lola Underground

To launch the 21st season of The Block, host Scott Cam was in Perth this week welcoming key media, clients, partners and industry leaders to a special Block Party at Lola Underground at the State Buildings in the CBD.
Hosted by 9News Perth’s Tracy Vo, over 60 guests were treated to a sneak peek of the highly anticipated new series, with Scott sharing candid stories and insight about this 2025 season which will see five new Blockheads build homes from scratch in Daylesford Victoria, that are exactly the same in layout and size.
Guests also met the local Blockheads with two teams representing WA this year – police officers Britt and Taz, and couple Han and Can, who spoke of their excitement when selected to be part of the TV juggernaut, which is now shown in more than 170 territories around the world.
Guests at The Block Party included media from 96fm, Mix94.5, Smooth, 6PR, TV Central, Have A Go News, together with key representatives from RMHC WA, Royal Agricultural Society WA, Perth Symphony Orchestra and Tattarang.
Scott Cam said: “Get set for a huge series especially since WA is so well represented with two great teams! I love coming to Perth each year to catch up with everyone and I’d like to thank you all for supporting The Block and helping drive Nine Perth’s continued success.”
Peter Brennan, Head of Marketing, Communications & TV Programming, said: “It was a superb night and a privilege to welcome one of Australia’s biggest stars, Scott Cam, back to WA to launch the series. Thank you to everyone who joined us.
“Nine Perth has been growing its primetime TV audiences faster than anyone else this year, and given The Block buzz has already hit Perth, we’re looking forward to the series once again delivering great results.”
The Block returns this Sunday at 7pm, then continues Mondays to Wednesdays at 7.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
