Nine Perth partners with Have A Go Day’s LiveLighter Event, welcoming over 15,000 people

Nine Perth was the media partner of choice at Have A Go Day, a LiveLighter Event – the largest community event in WA targeting the over 55’s demographic and the premier event for Western Australia’s Seniors Week.

Running for a remarkable 32 years, this year’s event held at Burswood Park welcomed over 15,000 people and more than 230 site holders offering health and aged care advice, vital for West Aussies entering their golden or twilight years.

The Nine Zone was a popular drawcard, allowing guests the opportunity to spin the wheel to win great prizes including Sealink ferry tickets to Rottnest Island, Captain Cook Cruise tickets and McDonald’s coffee vouchers.

9News personalities including Michael Thomson, Monika Kos and Tracy Vo roamed the precinct helping give away prizes and merchandise, and the Garden Guru himself, Trevor Cochrane, was on site answering a flurry of gardening questions.

6PR announcers Steve “Millsy” Mills, Karl Langdon and John Burgess helped facilitate formal proceedings, and Gary Adshead broadcast his radio program live on site, welcoming an array of special guests including WA Premier Roger Cook.
