National Coward Punch Week kicks off with hard hitting content created by AT Creative and Third Storey Pictures
Now in its 10th year, Danny Green’s Stop The Coward Punch campaign continues to tackle these senseless acts of violence on our streets to great effect.
Along with other material, this year’s campaign features these sobering messages from prominent neurosurgeon Prof Neville Knuckey and Heidi and Jon Walker, parents of Coward Punch victim Jaiden.
Over the past decade, AT Creative Director/writer Andrew Tinning and Third Storey Pictures Director Martin Wilson have collaborated with Danny Green to bring this important message to the Australian public.
During this time, the campaign has seen the vernacular change from terms like ‘King Hit’ that glorify violence to ‘Coward Punch’, which is far more befitting of the perpetrators. And most importantly, the incidence of fatal Coward Punch attacks across the country has continued to decline year on year.
Tinning said: “This is work both Marty and I are extremely proud of, and we look forward to working with Danny and the Coward Punch campaign team to effect even more positive change in the future.”
Wilson said: “It’s been really satisfying working on a campaign that has had a genuine social impact on such a devasting issue”.
