Mini #MeetTheMedia on the Terrace
Element Advisory recently hosted a #MeetTheMedia program, on the 28th of September, in Perth with support from Media Stable and Medianet.
An invitational event saw 65 guests welcomed by James Curtis CEO of Element and the event was hosted by Nic Hayes managing director of Media Stable. The guests included mayors, CEOs, MDs, not-for-profits, public and private business that had an active interest in understanding what is happening in Australian media.
The audience was there to meet and hear from two outstanding journalists in Julianne Sprague of the Australian Financial Review and 6PR Afternoons, and the News Director of Nine News Perth, Gareth Parker.
These two journalists were handpicked by both Curtis and Hayes as they were representative of the audience and businesses that wanted to hear a little more about their experience across radio, television and print.
The event was a scaled down version of Media Stable’s popular #MeetTheMedia program. It was a classic insider’s look into the state of media, the challenges, the way the media cycle looks today. The room full of business owners, industry and communicators got a firsthand feel for what the daily media life looks like.
Both journalists were very generous with their stories and their own observations of media life that left the audience really impressed with the dedication and devotion they both had for their craft.
As part of the ongoing commitment Media Stable is going to be doing regular events here in Perth and around the country to help demystify some of the hurdles and challenges there are for industry and business to work more effectively with the media.
The #MeetTheMedia program hits off in Melbourne October 17 and Sydney October 19. A few tickets left remaining.
