Match & Wood appointed to WA internet service provider Pentanet’s media account

Leading WA internet service provider Pentanet has appointed independent agency Match & Wood to their media account.

Match & Wood will provide a full suite of media services including strategy, planning, buying and analytics for the company’s three brands – Pentanet, Pentanet.GG Esports, and GeForce NOW cloud gaming.

Pentanet is Perth’s largest fixed-wireless network delivering superfast speeds across the metropolitan area. In the past 12 months the brand has grown its subscriber base by 218% and was listed on the ASX in late January after a successful IPO.

Proceeds from the IPO will go towards the roll out of a next-generation gigabit fixed-wireless technology as well as the next wave of subscription-based entertainment services, cloud gaming. Pentanet’s vision to “digitise Australia, starting with Perth” is well underway, with the mission to develop Western Australia into a global hub for esports and gaming backed by high-bandwidth, low latency internet services.

Alison Balch, Chief Marketing Officer at Pentanet, said of the appointment, “It was important to us to appoint an agency that aligned with our values of high performance, speed and next generation technology, with a strong presence in the Perth market. Both Pentanet and Match & Wood have grown from start-up beginnings into market-leading businesses and we are looking forward to leveraging their specialised media skills to continue to build brand awareness and subscriber growth.”

Michael Wretham, Match & Wood’s National Communications Director (pictured below), said: “We are thrilled to work with a brand with strong foundations and exciting early growth, that is poised to accelerate across the areas of high-speed internet and gaming/esports. We are keen to push the boundaries and maximise the effect of paid media to help fuel growth across the Pentanet portfolio.”
