Match & Wood appointed media agency of record for Horizon Power
WA’s regional energy provider, Horizon Power has appointed Match & Wood as it’s media agency of record. Horizon Power supplies electricity to over 37,000 residential and 9,000 business customers.
Match & Wood is responsible for strategy, planning and buying across all digital and traditional channels. The appointment was made as part of a competitive pitch process, and the first two campaigns under Match & Wood’s remit have just launched, focused on farm safety and decarbonisation.
Louisa Frome (pictured right), Senior Manager, Marketing & Insights at Horizon Power, said: “We are excited to bring on Match & Wood as a partner to help us continue to serve the unique needs of regional WA. We were impressed by their understanding of our diverse audience, proven expertise in cross channel communications and digital measurement, and their ability to aggregate Horizon Power’s data with media insights, an approach that is essential for us to make a genuine impact in our regional communities.”
Jodie Allen (pictured left), Group Director at Match & Wood, added: “We couldn’t be happier to be working with Horizon Power. By leveraging our expertise, we aim to connect Horizon Power’s complex audience network with innovative, data-driven solutions that inform their strategy and shape their future media decisions.”
The account will be run from Match & Wood’s Perth office.

Congrats Team M&W. This win is a case study in the futility of the WA Government Master Media Contract. Agencies bust a gut tendering and jumping through hoops and being scrutinised and managed and then government contract users can just go outside the system and appoint separate agencies. Why is this so? Is there any point in actually having a CUA contract if it doesn’t really mean anything?
Horizon Power is not obligated to use the CUA. As per the contract there are certain government agencies/affiliates that are mandatory and those who are not.
Gov contracts work across the country.
“gov contracts exist across the country” would be more accurate
