Marketforce promotes Maurice Melchers to head of tech and continues to grow digital team

As part of the ongoing growth and development of Marketforce the agency has been scaling up its digital and developer team over the last few months. Now, with the hiring of several digital experts and promotion of key roles, the Marketforce Digital team is out to establish itself as one of Western Australia’s premier digital creative agencies.

Maurice Melchers, senior creative developer who has served at Marketforce for 3 years, has been promoted to Head of Tech. He has built a robust team of developers and designers that rival the best digital offering in the market.

These include experienced local Front End Developers Milo Radunski and Jamie Dillon, up-and-coming young gun Lucas Vieira and Digital Designer/UX specialist Nicholas Smith. Jamie, a Full Stack Developer with almost a decades’ years experience across a wide range of techniques and technologies, and Milo, a senior web developer with a broad resume across tertiary education, research and health technologies, bring a wealth of knowledge and deep industry experience across a wide range of businesses and creative projects.

CEO, Adam Marshall, said: “The brief to Maurice and the wider team was simple: Go out and build the best creative digital department in the market. Combined with the support from our partners across the entire Clemenger network, we believe we’re now in the position to achieve that goal.”

The team is supported with a fully integrated agency structure spanning animation and 3D modelling from the in-house team at Flare, and creative solutions under Heads of Creative Rikki Burns and Josh Edge.

“I am stoked to be leading this team of talented creative developers, designers, and animators that will continue produce more exciting things for our client,” said Melchers. “We’ve already worked on some great new work together, but I’ve got big plans to expand our repertoire from our signature Jamstack websites and other interactive developments, into the Metaverse, AR, 3D, 60FPS animations, and whatever else our clients and brands are looking to employ. Our team is hungry to take on some creative technical challenges, and we’re happy to feed it.”

Edge said: “We’ve been quietly building up the team across the board at Marketforce over the last year or so, and it’s time to start showing the industry what we’re capable of. We know there’s a lot of expectations for the Marketforce brand, which has been an exciting challenge to start to rebuild some of that lustre. Having Maurice, who continues to develop his creative and advertising experience (even going through Award School as a senior developer!), as the Head of Tech gives us way more leeway to do great work in the creative space.”

The team has already hit the ground running with robust delivery of website projects and digital campaigns for clients as diverse as Curtin University, Department of Premier and Cabinet, City of Bunbury, YMCA, Construction Training Fund, Northern Territory Major Events Company and the Ronald McDonald House Charity.
