Kleenheat picks The Brand Agency
The Brand Agency has picked up energy company Kleenheat – part of the Wesfarmers Group – after a competitive pitch contested by four agencies.
Brand’s appointment was widely anticipated after staff began posting links to Kleenheat on social media earlier this week. The agency also handles flagship Wesfarmers business, Bunnings.
It brings to an end Kleenheat’s long association with incumbent Trilogy, who chose not to pitch. Director Jo Bulline said they were disappointed to part company with such a long-term client but wished them well.
“We have worked with Kleenheat for 13 years during which time their business has gone through significant changes. We are certainly proud of the exceptional people at Trilogy and the important roles they played in ensuring that Kleenheat’s brand moved with those changes, evolving through a variety of strategic stages to its current successful status. In that time Trilogy has not had a contract and we have only had to undergo one pitch to retain the business, so it is understandable that as Kleenheat further explores market opportunities they consider all options and formalise supplier arrangements.
“Given our daily commitment to such a long-term relationship we would obviously have preferred for the tender scenario not to happen, but we respect Kleenheat’s right to do it, and their procurement process. It did, however, give us cause to consider our choices and what we want our agency to be, so we elected not to participate in the tender and to therefore consider other opportunities that allow us to embrace change and move on.
“We genuinely look forward to seeing Kleenheat’s continued success, and hope their new agency finds the fulfilment we did.”
Kleenheat and The Brand Agency have been contacted for comment.
