Justin Stewart joins Lush as head of studio and business director

Justin Stewart has recently joined Lush as head of studio and business director, after a longtime stint overseas.

On the threshold of the agency’s rebrand, Stewart is working alongside newly appointed CEO, Clare Reid, in spearheading the reimagined direction of Lush.

“With Justin coming on board, I feel energised by his experience and really supported in my vision for the agency,” says Reid. “We’re a team of internationally experienced folks and Justin takes that to the next level.”

Stewart joins Lush with 34 years’ experience working in broadcast production, post-production, and animation. As founder of the 2D animation studio, Ink Animation, he has an impressive highlight’s reel that includes personal and studio credits on multiple television programs, animated series, and feature films for major US studios and leading European producers.

Stewart says, “There’s a synergy between my roles at Lush and Ink Animation. The studio is well-established, allowing me to dedicate the necessary time to Lush, with both companies benefitting from the organic exchange of inspiration, talent, and international opportunities.”

With credits including co-producing a feature film that won the Cristal at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2018, Stewart is looking to open avenues into the global entertainment industry—for Lush, and the Perth creative industry as a whole.
