Josh Edge and Rikki Burns set to join Grill The Marketer as their September guests
The Marketer’s Clayton Smith and Carma Levene dip into marketing’s creative element with dynamic duo Josh Edge AND Rikki Burns both joining the panel on September 19th. It’s the first time Grill The Marketer has had two panel guests, but this time it felt too important to The Marketer to not explore the whole story of this dynamic duo.
Edge is the Executive Creative Director at Anthologie and Creative Chair at Marketforce.
Edge is an internationally award-winning Creative Director, creative strategist and writer, who has spent the past 21 years working on some of Australia’s largest (and smallest!) clients, brands and NFPs.
He gathered a few white hairs under the ginger as President of the Perth Advertising and Design Club for over half a decade, which he now credits for giving him the appropriate gravitas to occasionally tutor and judge the next generation of creative talent at universities, TAFE and the Advertising Council’s AWARD School program.
In his 5 minutes of free time, he runs @thewaback on Instagram and @thebigmoodmusic on TikTok and YouTube.
He also likes to make himself a nuisance in the halls of State and Local Government with representation for creative industries, independent creative businesses, regional development and better opportunities for creative change.
Burns is one of those mythical creatives with over 20 years’ experience across both traditional and digital advertising.
You’d think after that long she’d be an empty human shell, but amazingly she remains passionate about creativity, and its power to make real change – be it to a single person, a small business, a good organisation, or the whole world.
As well as leading Marketforce as co-Head of Creative, Burns has been a recent juror on the Women Leading Tech Awards, B&T 30 under 30, AWARD Awards, B&T Women in Media, Cannes Young Lions and MAD Stars.
Right now, you’ll find Burns hard at work in Perth/Boorloo, writing about herself awkwardly in the third person.
The Marketer invites you to join them and ask the tough questions about creativity in all its forms, their views on the industry and where it’s headed, and why this partnership has stood the test of time!
Or just ask Edge about his new job, you know you want to.
