IN:WA hits 2024 member target: Berlin, Bonfire, Dapth, Humaan, and Word of Mouth the latest to sign on bringing total to 32 members

Strong growth in recent months has seen the member base of independent businesses shoot past IN:WA’s 30-member target for 2024.

Now at 32 members, the latest businesses to join IN:WA represent a cross-section of the commercial communications industry, including Berlin, Bonfire, Dapth, Humaan, and Word of Mouth.

A number of the new members were welcomed at the recent Owners & Leaders Assembly breakfast that took place at Lawson Flats on Thursday 20 June.

Jay Hollywood, founder and CEO of Humaan, said: “IN:WA is critical to the ongoing success and growth of our industry, particularly when it comes to supporting independent agencies.”

The inherent value of being an independent isn’t lost on John Linton and Richard Berney of Berlin Creative, who said: “Independence is incredibly important to Rich and I. The strategic and creative heights we’re aiming to hit just won’t happen without it. We’re thrilled to add to the momentum of WA’s independent movement.”

Ryan Khong and Adam Perich, co-founders of Word Of Mouth Agency (pictured top), have embraced how independent businesses have been keen to share from experience to help better the industry, adding. “We’re particularly drawn to the local feel and unique opportunity IN:WA is providing. We can’t wait to form authentic relationships with the best in the business.”

With IN:WA’s surging member base, inclusiveness and transparency among the owners and leaders continues to underpin a united force of good.

Rene LeMerle, General Manager – Growth at Bonfire, reflects on his early experiences with IN:WA: “It’s great to have organisations like IN:WA helping to foster a stronger sense of community between the various independent agencies. Collaboration and knowledge sharing ultimately improves the quality of how we operate and what we deliver to clients in WA.”

IN:WA continues to build a foundation of support and opportunity for independent agencies. The positive flow-on effect this has on attracting and retaining local talent is recognised by co-founder of Dapth, Phil Allen, and is one of the key reasons they aligned with IN:WA. He added: “We’re not just a business; we’re a community-driven force, championing homegrown expertise and bolstering our local economy.”
