Introducing Suit School: A more playful way to profitable creativity
After more than two and a half decades suiting across a diverse roster of blue-chip clients, Gambol Director Camey O’Keefe is excited to announce the launch of Suit School, a new training course to help account managers in creative industries hone their skills and master the art of client leadership.
In an era where the role of a “Suit” must confidently become the central driving force behind profitable agency partnerships, Suit School is here to shape the next generation of industry playmakers.
“That dated view of dismissing Suits as ‘bag carriers’ is no longer an option if you wish to succeed in the modern agency era,” says O’Keefe (pictured below).
“I want to get the next generation of suits buttoned up and ready for business.”
Suit School offers several benefits including:
• Career Acceleration: Participants will develop the core skills needed to fast track their career progression and become indispensable within their agencies.
• Business Growth: Agency owners and leaders will see tangible improvements in profitability and productivity due to higher-performing account managers who can lead clients effectively at every level.
• Role Mastery: Account management isn’t just a job—it’s an art form. Suit School turns account managers into playmakers. Leaders who know how to read the play, steer teams in the right direction, and consistently deliver winning outcomes for clients.
Core to the premise of Suit School is incorporating play into work every day, crucial for fuelling high performance in creative industries.
Camey said: “I’m borderline obsessed with shaping a more playful world of work and really upping the ante when it comes to Account Management.”
“It’s not an easy gig. Great account managers must balance competing priorities and move everyone forward toward a shared goal.
“I firmly believe it’s an art and one that can be taught.
“Suit School is dedicated to doing just that by elevating the skills and status of account management professionals across the creative industry.”
2025 Summer Suit School kicks off Perth mid-January with two courses tailored to career level.

Using the term suit is as ‘dated’ as you can get and does the industry no favours.
Training them on the fundamentals of marketing would make them better operators, create more meaningful positions and add greater value to clients.
Hey “Suits you”,
Cheers for the feedback. The whole Suit title debate is one I welcome and indeed workshopped with industry ahead of launch. The likes of Nick Garrett loathes the moniker and made time to tell me why. We touch on the legacy in the course if you’re keen to attend.
Don’t disagree, Marketing Fundamentals are valuable but reckon that’s more Mark Ritson’s field: https://mba.marketingweek.com
For those interested in Suit School – our focus is to go deep on the art of client leadership. Interrogating what it takes to become a trusted advisor and successfully champion the value of creativity in business. It’s a specific skillset, separate to marketing and one that many leaders in the field tell me warrants more support in developing. So yeah that’s our ambition.
For what it’s worth, do think a more tired, dated practice our industry could move on from is throwing shade under an anonymous pseudonym? But hey maybe that’s just this suit.
No doubt Suit School will be brilliant. Full support from Hypnosis. Solid last point in your comment.
