Insiight enters OOH data race with free, open access launch

With agencies demanding deeper accountability and OOH networks racing to prove value, Perth-based founders of Shiine Media have launched Insiight, a new measurement platform available to trial at no cost.

Insiight transforms anonymised mobile device IDs detected within the viewable distance of a sign into actionable insights, not just reach and frequency, but also audience demographics such as income, age, occupation and education.

“We’re data-obsessed lads who were surprised by the lack of accountability in OOH,” said Sean Wharton, co-founder of Insiight. “Online, advertisers know exactly who they’re speaking to through Meta or Google. OOH should be no different. Mobile device ID data has been around, what’s new is a purpose-built platform designed specifically for media owners, covering both static billboards and mobile/transit formats, with no barriers to entry.”

By opening the platform free of charge until year-end, Insiight is removing cost and complexity as barriers for operators and agencies to trial its tools in live campaigns. Media owners can onboard assets within five minutes, with data starting to populate dashboards the following week.

A short demo video is attached to this article, showing how dashboards populate with live audience data, heatmaps and auto-generated proposals.

Platform features include:
Real-time dashboards showing weekly reach and impressions
● Audience heatmaps to visualise exposure and movement patterns
● Automated, client-ready post-campaign reports
● ML engines predicting future reach, frequency and audience metrics
● Auto-generated proposal and brief response templates, formatted for agency execution

Wharton added: “MOVE provides the industry with a consistent baseline based on historical figures for reach and frequency. What it doesn’t capture is what’s happening in real time, or the make-up of the audiences behind those numbers. Insiight compliments that foundation by giving media owners and agencies live visibility and deeper audience insights, helping them win more briefs and make more data-informed decisions.”
