Hypnosis picks up West Australian Ballet

West Australian Ballet has appointed creative agency Hypnosis to lead their brand into 2025 and beyond.

Hypnosis Creative Agency will be at the helm of strategy and creative development, strengthening West Australian Ballet’s brand as the company prepares for its landmark 75th anniversary in 2027.

As Australia’s oldest ballet company still in existence, West Australian Ballet is proud of its rich heritage. However, ballet can often be seen as something “not for me.” Globally, ballet is reinventing itself for a new era, with things like social media breaking down barriers to make ballet more accessible to everyone, everywhere.

Guy Patrick, ECD at Hypnosis, said: “Our job is more than just getting people into the theatre – it’s about making West Australian Ballet unmissable both locally and globally, especially as the company embarks on this significant 75-year milestone.”

Lindsay Fletcher, Head of Marketing & Communications, said: “We were impressed by Hypnosis’ collaborative approach during the pitch process. Their laser-focus on engaging both our existing and new audiences in an authentic and meaningful way, has us excited on what’s to come.”

Amber Martin, co-founder of Hypnosis, added: “Attending West Australian Ballet performances as a child created such cherished memories. To now have the opportunity to work with the ballet fills me with genuine excitement. Helping them connect with new audiences feels like the perfect way to honour their remarkable legacy.”
