Good Times: oOh!media hits a hole-in-one with an epic agency showdown on the mini golf course

It was game on last Thursday as oOh! turned mini golf into a big deal, playing host to a wildly successful inter-agency tournament that brought out the competitive spirit of Perth’s media scene.
Held at Matagarup Mini Golf, the afternoon saw teams from across Perth’s top media agencies ditch the boardrooms for putters and the chance to be crowned champions. With drinks flowing, sun shining, and a serious number of pond shots, the evening delivered all the energy and banter you’d expect when the industry’s finest go head-to-head.
In true oOh! style, the event wasn’t just a hit—it was a masterclass in how to bring the industry together, with agencies including Carat, OMD, Initiative, The Brand Agency, Hearts & Science, and Match & Wood battling it out for the highly coveted title of the inaugural oOh! Mini Golf Classic. But in the end, there could only be one winner. After a tense 18 holes of calculated putts and fluke shots, it was the team from Match & Wood who emerged victorious.
“We’re always looking for ways to connect and celebrate the amazing talent in this industry,” said oOh! WA Sales Director, Chris Eyres. “This event was about having fun with a bit of cheeky competition, thanks to the team at Matagarup for allowing us to host such a successful event, bring on next year!”
Kudos to the oOh! crew for raising the bar yet again—and giving Perth’s media agencies a reason to putt their differences aside, even if just for one arvo.
