equ welcomes five new team members

equ are continuing to grow with the addition of five new team members, each bringing deep expertise across technology, design, data, and delivery. Joining the team are: Russell Munro as Lead Backend Developer, Kat Severn as Data & Analytics Lead, Mike Lazzaro as Senior Backend Developer, Danica Vogel as UX/UI Designer and Katherine Lynch as Delivery Manager, Partnerships.

Munro brings more than 25 years of experience in backend software development, working across sectors including government, transport, and enterprise. He’s a strong advocate for clean code, backend performance, and mentoring high-performing teams. Outside work, he’s into motorcycles and hands-on building projects with his two teenage sons.

Severn returns to equ with close to a decade of experience leading data-driven marketing and analytics initiatives across health, enterprise, and digital sectors. She specialises in data governance, tagging and measurement, data visualisation and reporting – turning complex data into actionable insight. With a strong analytical mindset and a flair for storytelling, Severn helps teams make smarter, faster decisions through data.

Lazzaro brings over 15 years of experience developing robust backend systems and scalable digital platforms. With deep expertise in .NET and CMS development, he has delivered high-performing solutions across government, utilities, and enterprise sectors. He’s passionate about clean architecture, solving complex problems, and collaborating with teams to bring modern platforms to life.

Vogel brings a fresh, user-led approach to digital design — combining creativity with evidence-based thinking. With experience in human-centred design roles across Sydney, she’s passionate about making the complex simple and creating intuitive digital journeys that work seamlessly across web and mobile. Her focus is always on the people behind the screen — designing experiences that help them achieve what matters most.

Lynch brings extensive experience in digital delivery, operations management, and people leadership. With a strong foundation in project and business operations, she’s known for aligning digital initiatives with business goals and driving outstanding customer outcomes. A strategic thinker and strong communicator, she creates collaborative team environments and ensures projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with impact.
