Emergence Creative 2025 returns to Margaret River with “Creative Collision” theme

The Creative Corner Inc. has announced the return of Emergence Creative, Margaret River’s signature festival of creativity, technology and innovation, to be held on 18–19 September 2025 at the Margaret River HEART.

Positioned as “the best locally-driven creative festival in Asia”, Emergence Creative 2025 will bring together leading thinkers, makers, and innovators under the theme Creative Collision, a two-day program designed to break silos, inspire collaboration, and shape a sustainable future.

Confirmed keynote speakers include:
Kav and Beth Temperley (ArtsiX, Eskimo Joe)
Beau Miles, adventurer and filmmaker
Suzanne Rosa, behavioural scientist and humanitarian at the Museum of Freedom and Tolerance
Rohan Silva, Co-Founder of Founders Factory

“Emergence Creative is multidisciplinary,” said Mat Lewis, Co-Founder of Emergence Creative and Director of Creative Tech Village. “We bring together everyone from musicians, artists, and designers to technologists, strategists, educators and entrepreneurs. The event champions diversity, imagination and the importance of creativity across every sector.”

A Two-Day Creative Collision
Day 1: A half-day series of workshops and events focused on investment, start-ups, and technology.
Day 2: A full-day conference exploring bold, cross-disciplinary creativity and technology.

Festival Director Anita Pettit added: “This year’s theme reflects the energy we’re seeing across creative industries. People are ready to connect across disciplines, experiment and drive meaningful change.”

Local Roots, Global Impact
Since its inception in 2013, Emergence Creative has built strong international networks, enabling over $10 million in business outcomes through mentoring, recruitment, trade, and partnerships across WA and countries including Japan, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

The festival continues to attract international and interstate talent while remaining accessible, with affordable ticketing and a focus on mentorship.

Advisory Crew 2025
An advisory panel of leading WA creative professionals will support this year’s event, including: Mia Burley (Apparatus), Cate Rocchi (Perth Media), Mel Vella (WA Advertising Council), Michal Napora (32-33), Bradley Scott & Rebecca Di Pardo (Youngbloods), Michelle Wong (GoSH), plus representatives from PADC and WAMA.

Emergence Creative invites creatives from all industries, alongside business and government leaders, to explore how creativity can address global challenges, including climate change, and build the next generation of creative leaders.
