ECD Richard Berney + Head of Planning John Linton set to leave 303 MullenLowe to start own agency: New CCO hire announced tomorrow
ECD Richard Berney and Head of Planning John Linton have resigned from 303 MullenLowe Perth and will form their own agency. The move has been discussed for a couple of months and full details, including the appointment of a new Chief Creative Officer to lead the 303 MullenLowe Perth creative department, will be announced tomorrow.
Both Berney (left) and Linton (right) are long term senior management leads at the agency. Berney was promoted to his role as Executive Creative Director in 2015 after joining the agency in 2005. Linton joined in 2015 as a planner and was appointed head of planning four years ago.
The duo have made major contributions to the agency’s creative output and business performance over their many years at the agency and their decision to leave is amicable.
303 MullenLowe has already hired a highly regarded creative director who will lead the creative department in the newly created Chief Creative Officer role. This news and several other internal appointments will be announced tomorrow.
A new Strategy Director will also be announced in the coming weeks, once contractual details have been organised.
