Doni Savvides to depart Wunderman Thompson

After 8 years, Wunderman Thompson Perth Partner, Doni Savvides, will be leaving the agency he helped introduce to the WA market, to take time out to consider his next career move within the WA industry.
Savvides was brought in together with Creative Director Dav Tabeshfar in 2013, to establish and grow the Wunderman Thompson brand in Western Australia. With his oversight, the agency experienced consistent and significant success and growth, and has continued to go from strength to strength.
“I’m extremely proud of the journey I’ve been on with Wunderman Thompson but I’m excited for a new challenge”, said Savvides.
“From six people crammed into a share space in Subi working on a single client, to a team of 20 under neon in Wolf Lane, to now 50 talented individuals. I’ve had the privilege to lead and work with some of WA’s most remarkably talented people, and I leave more confident than ever about the impact this amazing team will continue have in WA.”
Gavin Bain, Managing Director of Wunderman Thompson Perth added: “Doni has been integral in establishing and growing the Wunderman Thompson brand in Western Australia from the start. With his oversight, our agency and our clients have continued to go from strength to strength and we wish him all the best for this next chapter of his career.”

Hey mate, you know that high-res pic you were chasing for your Campaign Brief article, I couldn’t find one. Hope you have something sufficient. Oh, wait this isn’t my email window…
You’ll be missed mate, thanks for nearly a decade of working together, you’re a legend.
One of the industry’s gentlemen. Doni will go on to bigger and better things. There had to be a fall guy for the year WT have had unfortunately.
Since when has Doni been clean shaven? Luv ya.
“to now 50 talented individuals.”
Talented yes.
50 no.
Actually, it is 50.
A complete legend of the sport. What a fantastic stint.
One of the best. A smart leader with honesty and integrity. Can’t wait to see where you pop up next mate. This is a big loss for WT.
As others have said, a gentleman. Look forward to watching whatever’s next, Doni.
All the best Doni. Excited to see where it takes you. Maybe a bit more fishing time? Fancy a trip to Wedge?
50? Really? That has to be one of the most creative bits of writing to come out of WT in awhile.
A true gentleman and ultimate professional who upheld the highest of standards. You will be missed Doni but can’t wait to see what exciting thing you land into next.
The original mister nice guy. Good luck with what the future holds!
Will be forever grateful for your guidance and collaboration 8 years ago as our agencies came together to relaunch the RAC brand. From pushing the needle with the Attention Powered car to flying East for Angela’s workshops, to the enormous task of rewriting the brand strategy across multiple business units all the while working with a wonderful JWT team and client. A true gentleman that always made time to nurture relationships. Look forward to hearing about the next chapter.
A genuine talent, a genuine man.
A smooth operator with a personal touch that few can match.
All the best, Doni.
Here’s to your next chapter.
A true gentleman and really great guy.
All the best Doni.
Best of luck for the next bit you behemoth of business management. No doubt you’ll do something rather interesting.
An amazing talent, mentor and overall just a bloody good friend. Had such a blast with Doni at WT and excited to see what the next chapter brings.
You’re a genuine giant of a man, sir. Cheers for the friendship, support and better-than-average restaurant recommendations.
Was a brilliant time working with you, mate. Just a great operator. Always positive and calm. A great thinker. I hope you are spending some well-earned down time cooking up a storm – those chicken wings! All the best with the next chapter.
I will miss your kindness and perspective, Doni. However, you will live on whenever I Souv.
Jesus, it’s like a funeral in here 😂 Assuming you are, indeed, still alive, let’s catch up for a drink and some wings sometime. It’s been too long!
