Cameron Myles appointed Editor of WAtoday

Nine has elevated Cameron Myles to Editor of WAtoday. Myles joined WAtoday in 2018 as a senior reporter and desk editor, bringing extensive journalism experience to the role.

He has previously worked across a range of media outlets, including as a sub-editor at The West Australian and as editor of the regional publications Busselton Dunsborough Times and Augusta-Margaret River Times.

In his new role, Myles will continue to champion public interest journalism and deliver independent news and analysis, without bias or agenda — a cornerstone of the WAtoday masthead.

Myles said: “I’m excited to step into the role and lead WAtoday as we bring our readers the stories they need to know, from breaking news to in-depth investigations on the topics that matter most to our communities.

“Western Australia is a unique and fascinating state to report in, and together with our team of talented and award-winning journalists, WAtoday has a bright future ahead.”

Luke McIlveen, Executive Editor of Nine’s metro mastheads WAtoday, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and Brisbane Times, said: “Cameron has been doing a wonderful job in an acting editor capacity and he and the team will continue to serve WAtoday’s growing audience with quality, independent journalism.”
