Beautiful Pictures welcomes directing duo Underpants to its directors’ roster

Beautiful Pictures is kicking off 2025 with a bang with the addition of Underpants to their directors’ roster. With backgrounds in design, illustration and fine arts, Paul and Rachel – aka Underpants – are veritable visual effects Swiss Army knives with a broad skillset across the visual medium. Blending their keen eye for aesthetics and storytelling with their technical knowledge, they specialise in directing live action and animation, compositing, editing and VFX.

“Bringing Underpants on board expands the range of expertise we can offer, allowing us to showcase cutting-edge visual effects alongside our live-action capabilities,” says Beautiful Pictures’ Executive Producer, Kate Downie. “Paul and Rachel’s diverse skill set means we can deliver even more dynamic, visually rich content to the Perth industry, pushing creative boundaries and elevating what’s possible in every project.”
