ACA launches one-day workshop to demystify media for marketers and creatives – July 31

Let’s be honest, media still feels like a mystery to a lot of people in client-facing roles. It’s where most of the budget goes, it shapes the effectiveness of the creative, and yet too many account managers, creatives and marketers are still nodding along in meetings without really knowing how media plans come together, or how to challenge them when they don’t make sense.

That’s why Understanding Media was created. It’s a one-day workshop happening on 31 July, designed by strategist Paul Hindle (pictured) in collaboration with Advertising Council Australia.

Hindle has worked across Australia, the UK, and the US on agency-side, client-side, and media-side roles, which means he knows exactly where breakdowns in communication occur and how to fix them.

This course won’t turn you into a media planner. It’ll give you the confidence to talk to one. You’ll walk away with:
● A grip on the six dials behind every media plan
● A clear understanding of media math, costs, timelines and trade-offs
● Confidence to question recommendations and back your POV
● Real-world case studies (good and bad) and what they teach us
● Tips for making creative and media work together

Whether you’re in account service, strategy, creative or client-side marketing, this course is designed to lift your confidence and sharpen your conversations. Because when you understand how media works, you create better work.
