Block lands two finalists in Designers Institute of New Zealand’s Best Design Awards debut

Reigning Campaign Brief WA Agency of the Year Block has landed two finalists from two entries in its first year entering the Designers Institute of New Zealand’s Best Design Awards, regarded as one of Australasia’s leading design competitions.

The agency’s entries, SKUPA> The Collection (Editorial and Books) and Kimbara: A Wagyu Born of Two Worlds (Small Brand Identity), will go up against New Zealand’s best in the annual awards.

“We’re not backing the Wallabies to beat the All Blacks any time soon,” said Block Creative Director David Storey, “So we figured design was a fairer fight.”

SKUPA> The Collection is a book designed for Australian furniture brand SKUPA>, built to move like the furniture it documents.

Kimbara is a brand identity for Pardoo Wagyu Corporation, drawing on Japanese lineage and Kimberley terrain.
