WAMA examines where AI is creating real value for marketers at next breakfast panel

WAMA will examine the practical realities of AI adoption in marketing at its upcoming Marketing in the Age of AI breakfast panel on Tuesday 29 July at Fraser’s Kings Park.

Moderated by So Media Group co-founder Jason Balchand, the session will move beyond the question of whether marketers should be using AI and focus instead on how to use it effectively. The discussion will explore where AI is delivering measurable value, where challenges remain and how marketers can balance efficiency with customer expectations.

Joining Balchand on the panel are Smiljka Dimitrijevic, Head of Brand & Marketing at St John WA; Dr Shahid Hussain, Lecturer in Business and Marketing at Edith Cowan University; and Vici Richardson, Head of Brand & Growth at HBF.

The panel will cover AI’s impact on creativity, customer experience, consumer trust, ethical governance and organisational capability, while also examining the skills marketers will need as AI becomes more deeply embedded in day-to-day marketing activity.

Balchand brings more than a decade of experience applying AI and machine learning across systems improvement, product development and startup advisory. Dimitrijevic will provide a healthcare perspective on balancing innovation with trust, while Hussain’s research focuses on AI in marketing, consumer confidence and ethical AI governance. Richardson will discuss the role emerging technologies can play in brand growth and customer experience.

‘Marketing in the Age of AI’ will run from 7.30am to 9.00am on July 29th at the State Reception Centre, Fraser’s Kings Park. Tickets here.
