WA Advertising Industry Raises More Than $155,000 for The Salvation Army at Oasis Ball

Western Australia’s advertising, marketing and media industry has raised $155,793 for The Salvation Army at the 29th annual Oasis Ball.

For nearly three decades, the Oasis Ball has been the industry’s night to come together – not just to celebrate, but to contribute. Attended by more than 750 advertising professionals, clients and interstate guests, the event is more than a night of glamour and connection. It is a long‑standing celebration of recognition, generosity and community impact.

All funds raised support The Salvation Army’s work with disadvantaged young people aged 16 – 25, helping them navigate some of the toughest moments of their lives. The Oasis Ball stands as a testament to the industry’s collective commitment to making a difference – a commitment unmatched anywhere else in Australia.

This year’s donation brings the total raised over 29 years to more than $3 million, providing The Salvation Army with the flexibility and agility needed to support young people sleeping rough and to help them rebuild their lives. The funds will contribute to safe and supported accommodation options, as well as life‑skills development and pathways into education and employment.

Oasis Chairperson and Carat Client Partner Michelle Testa delivered a heartfelt address, thanking the industry for uniting not just to celebrate, but to contribute.

Testa said: “Since stepping into the Chair role three years ago, my mission has been simple: to connect our industry with purpose. Our industry has proven, decade after decade, that when creativity meets compassion, incredible things happen. This year that purpose stopped being abstract and became deeply personal as we took our ballroom guests into the home of one of the young people our money impacted last year. Kristi sat in her living room, as the crowd listened, describing what home meant to her after years of abuse, trauma and separation from her sisters – now reunited thanks to our funds, and thriving. That’s not nostalgia. That’s hope. That’s change. That’s impact.”

Guy Rees, State Manager for The Salvation Army Youth Service, said: “It is absolutely mind‑blowing,aAn incredible night! Creative genius, and a truly remarkable long‑term partnership. The commitment between the advertising, marketing and media industry through The Oasis Project and The Salvation Army is a testament and example to all.

“This incredible amount has only been achievable through the energy, passion and tireless work of the outstanding committee members. Credit must also go to Michelle Testa, whose leadership and vision over the last three years has been a true driving force.

“Having personally been part of this relationship for over 22 years, I am humbled by what we have achieved together and the lives transformed. These funds will change lives here in WA – creating safety, opportunity and hope for so many young people. ‘Thank you’ never feels enough, but thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
