Initiative Perth welcomes back Danielle Miaris and Yamila Cano to strengthen client leadership
Initiative Perth has welcomed back Yamila Cano as Associate Director and Danielle Miaris as Account Manager, further strengthening the agency’s senior client leadership team and strategic capability.
The pair return to the agency and rejoin the team at a busy time, supporting major local and international campaign activity.
Miaris (pictured left) rejoins Initiative after 18 months at PWD, bringing strong experience across domestic and international campaigns. Her background in client service and digital strategy makes her well placed to lead several key clients including Tourism WA, the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification, Scitech and the Department of Health.
Reporting into Client Advice & Planning Director Molly Trumble, Miaris will oversee the delivery of integrated campaigns across these portfolios, supported by Account Executive Alyssa Thomas, who recently joined the team from Carat.
Cano (pictured middle) returns to Initiative as Associate Director following a stint with dentsu’s iProspect. In her new role she will lead the agency’s work for Kleenheat and the Road Safety Commission while also playing a broader leadership role across the team, ensuring the delivery of consistent and effective client outcomes.
“It’s incredibly rewarding to see talented people return to Initiative,” said Paige English (pictured right), Initiative’s Head of Perth. “Both Dani and Yami know the business, understand our culture and our ways of working, and that means they can jump straight in and make an impact from day one. They bring strategic thinking, strong process discipline and deep client understanding, which is invaluable as we continue to grow the Perth team and deliver ambitious work for our clients.”
Miaris said: “The leadership team here is incredibly engaged and collaborative, and it creates an environment where strategic thinking and planning can really thrive. I’m excited to be back and working with such a strong team again,” she said.
Cano added that returning to Initiative had reminded her just how strong the agency’s systems and approach are, saying: “I never thought I’d say I missed Initiative’s media planning and automation processes, but it’s genuinely one of the things I appreciated most when I came back. It’s great to be working with a team that shares such a clear and effective way of delivering the best outcomes for clients.”
