Rare steals the show at 2025 PADC Skulls Awards: WA Primary Health Alliance’s ‘The Black Puppy’ campaign wins Best of Show and 3 Gold skulls

Rare was the big winner at the 36th PADC Skulls Awards, held Friday night, bringing home 6 Gold Skulls and the Best of Show award for WA Primary Health Alliance’s ‘The Black Puppy’ . Overall 17 Gold, 32 Silver and 31 Bronze were awarded, with Gold winners including Berlin, Good Drinks Australia, Wildlings, KWP+Partners, The Brand Agency, Gatecrasher Advertising, Nani Creative, Anthologie, Clockwork Films WA and Beautiful Pictures.

 

Rare also took home four Silver and 2 Bronze, along with their six Gold Skulls. Three Gold Skulls were awarded to ‘The Black Puppy’ in the Film, Integrated Campaign, and Strategy, Media, PR & Promotion categories. Their three other Gold wins were for the Department of Health’s ‘Hard to Spell’ campaign in the Social Media, Out of Home and Experiential and Integrated Campaign categories.

The agency’s Silver Skull winners included ‘The Black Puppy’ in Film; Save African Rhino Foundation ‘Mission: Extinction’ in Out of Home and Experiential; ‘Hard to Spell’ in Communications Crafts (Copywriting); and ‘World Police & Fire Games’ in Digital.

Berlin & Beautiful Pictures took out Gold in the Social category for WA Forest Alliance & Ricky England’s ‘The Protest Puppet’.

Berlin also received Gold for ‘High Fryer’ for Kitchen Warehouse in Integrated Campaign. The ‘High Fryer eDM’ was then awarded Silver in Digital.

Berlin’s ‘Big Gas Is Taking the Piss’ for The Australia Institute took out Silver in Integrated Campaign.

Wildlings scored a Gold in Design for Perth Wildlife Hospital’s ‘The Method’. The campaign also won 2 Silver awards in Radio, Streaming & Audio; a Silver in Film and another Silver in Print and Publication.

Vinnies ‘Fabric of Life’ also picked up Silver in Communications Crafts (Long-form copy), bringing the agency’s overall total to 5 Silver.

Their RSPCA WA campaign ‘This Is Love’ was awarded 4 Silvers across the Film and Communications Crafts categories.
