Perth Scorchers team up with Made You Look to bring the wild west to Karrinyup
Perth Scorchers have teamed up with Karrinyup Shopping Centre and Made You Look to launch “We Own the Wild West,” a large-scale, hand painted mural celebrating the upcoming Weber WBBL|11 season (9 November – 13 December) and KFC BBL|15 seasons (14 December – 25 January).
Designed and painted by Perth mural artist Adam Cicanese (@artbyrow), the fully artist-led concept allowed Cicanese to use his distinctive style across one of Karrinyup’s busiest thoroughfares. The mural’s anamorphic design draws people into the scene, encouraging fans to interact, take selfies and immerse themselves in the Wild West theme that now covers the space.
“This campaign showcases what artist-led advertising does best, by creating authentic, memorable moments that connect audiences to brands in a genuine way,” said Will Clark, Director of Made You Look Media.
Featuring Scorchers players Mitch Marsh, Ashton Turner, Laurie Evans, Sophie Devine, Alana King and Mikayla Hinkley, the piece captures the unity and strength shared across both the men’s and women’s teams here in Perth.
Perth Scorchers General Manager Jess Keily said the Wild West theme reflects the team’s unique West Australian identity.
“The Scorchers are proud to represent the ‘Wild West’ of Australian cricket,” she said. “This mural captures that fearless, frontier spirit which defines our women’s and men’s teams. We want the fans to feel that same sense of excitement and pride every time they see this incredible mural.”
The mural will be up until the middle of January, so be sure to check it out if you find yourself at Karrinyup!
