Block wins multiple awards at the Australian Good Design Awards

Block has won multiple awards at the Australian Good Design Awards, held on Friday, 17 October 2025, at ICC Sydney. Josh Mullens (pictured below), Head of (Eastern)Block, collected the awards on behalf of the team.
Block received a Gold Award for State Library of WA Branding in Communication Design: Branding & Identity, along with Award Wins for Avivo “The Support Project” in Advertising & Campaigns, and PICA Branding in Branding & Identity.
“Thrilled to see three incredible brands recognised, each doing important work in their own way. Different sectors, different challenges, but a shared belief that creativity can be a force for clarity, empathy and change. Grateful to the clients who trust us with their stories, and to our team who keep proving that nimble, independent agencies can do big, important things when the work has purpose,” said Mark Braddock, Co-Founder & Creative Strategy Director.
State Library of WA Branding: Block’s rebrand transforms the State Library of Western Australia into a dynamic, inclusive platform for exploration, inspiring all Western Australians to follow their curiosity online, in local libraries, or at the Perth Cultural Centre.
Avivo ‘The Support Project’: This campaign highlights stories of care for Avivo, using silhouettes and short films to foster empathy and reframe advertising as advocacy.
PICA Branding: The redesign of PICA’s identity reflects its bold, adaptive spirit and the character of its historic home, capturing the institution’s role as a fearless incubator of contemporary culture.
The Australian Good Design Awards, established in 1958 and endorsed by the World Design Organization (WDO), are Australia’s highest international design accolade. This year’s theme, “Rewarding, Defining and Celebrating Better _______,” highlights design’s transformative role in shaping a better, more sustainable world.
