2025 WAFL season sees strong growth across TV and streaming

The Seven Network’s coverage of the 2025 WAFL season delivered record growth across Seven and 7plus Sport, highlighting the League’s expanding reach and popularity in Western Australia.
All WAFL matches were available to stream on 7plus, with the season’s digital audience up 150% year-on-year. The 2025 WAFL Grand Final drew a total TV audience of 80,980, a 10% increase on last year’s event, with streaming viewership soaring 63%.
The WAFL Finals Series also saw robust gains, with the average total TV audience up 12% on 2024. Across 21 broadcast matches, the WAFL achieved an average total TV audience of 27,800 and reached more than 995,600 West Australians throughout the season.
The 2025 WAFL season demonstrates that a growing combination of Total TV and digital audiences is positioning the league for continued expansion, with fans increasingly engaging across multiple platforms to follow the excitement of WAFL football.
