So Perth launches Well Travelled: a weekly email inspiring Perth locals to travel

So Perth has launched Well Travelled, a new weekly email series designed to spark wanderlust among Perth locals by spotlighting destinations they may have never considered. Each Monday evening, subscribers can expect a deep, editorial-style dive into a single location — from under-the-radar cosy spots in Western Australia to unforgettable interstate escapes and bucket-list-worthy international experiences.
The first edition, published on Monday, August 11th, whisked readers away to the Maldives with a practical guide detailing not only why this dream destination should be on their radar, but also how to get there, where to stay, and what to experience once they arrive.
While Perth has a vibrant travel community, most travel media is produced from Sydney or Melbourne, often overlooking the needs and perspectives of consumers travelling from Perth. Well Travelled fills that gap, delivering content specifically created for a Perth and WA audience.
“There are so many incredible places — here in WA and across the world — that people have never considered as their next holiday spot,” said Jason Balchand, Chief Operating Officer at So Perth. “Over the next 12 months, we’d like to inspire our subscribers to get out, travel, and see more of the world.”
Every issue of Well Travelled will focus on a single destination or experience, offering not just inspiration, but practical, actionable details.
Readers can expect:
• Local WA destinations that most consumers haven’t visited — on the schedule in the coming months are locations like Coral Bay, El Questro Wilderness Park, and Ningaloo Reef.
• Interstate escapes that are worth the trip, like the Whitsundays, Hahndorf, and Hobart.
• International journeys that are more than the usual default ‘Eurotrip.’
While Well Travelled is designed first and foremost to inspire readers, it also offers opportunities for tourism boards, airlines, resorts, and travel brands to collaborate and reach a highly-engaged and loyal Perth travel audience who are actively considering their next holiday.
“This new weekly email offers advertisers in the travel vertical an exciting and well-aligned opportunity to reach a large audience of Perth travellers. We look forward to working with new brands from near and far who love what we’re doing and want to be involved,” added Jason Balchand.
